Bedroom Refresh

Bedroom Refresh with Serena and Lily

I’m super excited to partner with one of my favorite brands, Serena & Lily on my latest refresh. They have the most beautiful airy coastal styled home goods and blends perfectly for the Spring/Summer refresh I wanted for our bedroom.

Whose, with me and excited for Summertime. Yes please! Our bedroom has been slowly getting new updates and the final touch was adding soft textiles. I knew when I saw the Whitby Coverlet by S&L design that this was the item. It is lofty yet light weight making it perfect for a year round essential layer. This was the added texture I was looking for to make this space for my husband and I a retreat.

Quarantine lifestyle has had its challenging times with our family of 6… that’s why creating a serene space we can escape to was essential. 😉

Monochromatic Textures

One way I bring life to a space is through texture. You know I love my neutrals, so I keep our home simple with monochromatic tones. White bedding is basic and easy to shift with the seasons… I will add fun seasonal textures and colors throughout the year. Summertime is approaching and we were in the market for a lightweight coverlet. That is why I was pumped to find this new style coverlet by Serena & Lily. Yes, keeping with our white theme, but rich in texture with a patchwork-like design creating interest.

The Fun Part

Naturally I’m drawn to simple classic looks with fun twists. What initially struck me about this coverlet is the F R I N G E! It is so stinkin cute and adds a whimsical feminine vibe to our once basic bed. I LOVE IT! Adding pizazz is the best part… you can do this with a variety of design textiles. Fringe, poms, ruffles, you get the idea. I’m thrilled with how it hangs softly against our bedframe. All. Heart. Eyes. Here.

Final Touches

I added one more piece from S&L design… this Luca Throw Pillow. I have a thing for stripes and these playful pom-poms are so perfect. I chose the Fog color, but this pillow cover comes in a variety of colors. I love the detail and the lumbar style, giving an added interest to our bed. One decorative throw pillow can change a look in a space. I don’t overload on patterns, keep it simple. What I love about this particular throw pillow is that it brings together our classic white bedding with the warmth of our bedframe. Ties all the neutrals in this space together.

Don’t Break the Bank

I chose only 2 pieces from S&L design, but honestly that is what we needed to give this space the new fresh look it needed for Summer. This dream space is now our favorite retreat and we’re loving it.

Below I’ve linked the coverlet and throw pillow along with some other good bedding basics from S&L design. Their sale items are SO good right now… check it out! And one last thing, they have a current shopping promo of 20% off your purchases that ends Tuesday 5/26 (some exclusions apply)… hurry take a look through these links below.
